Farragut Capital Partners Provides Mezzanine Financing for The Recapitalization of Simulyze, Inc.
CHEVY CHASE, Md. – Farragut Capital Partners, LLC ("Farragut"), a Chevy Chase-based mezzanine investment firm offering customized financing solutions to lower middle market private companies, is pleased to announce the closing of an investment in Simulyze, Inc. (“Simulyze” or “the Company”). Simulyze offers high-end, four-dimensional visualization software and related services tailored to meet the needs of the military and intelligence communities. The investment was made to facilitate a recapitalization of the Company, providing a partial liquidity event for the company’s owners and facilitating a minority investment by a private equity sponsor. Simulyze represents the firm’s second investment out of the team’s third fund, Farragut Mezzanine Partners III, LP, which received its license to operate as a Small Business Investment Company (“SBIC”) from the Small Business Administration in July of this year. Farragut partnered with Salem Investment Partners of Charlotte, North Carolina and Trident Advisors of Stamford, Connecticut on the deal.
Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, Simulyze’s core product is Flight Control, a proprietary program that fuses planning and real-time information from diverse operational and intelligence sources. Flight Control aggregates this data and displays it in real-time on a customized, user-friendly graphical interface, enabling commanders to implement critical shortcuts in situational awareness, mission planning, and post-plan analysis. Flight Control has been battle-tested in Iraq and Afghanistan and has a significant and growing base of users in the global intelligence community.
